OUR STORY:
Red River Health Care Systems, Inc. was founded on June 9, 1975 as Red River Valley Home Health Services, an auspice of Paris Junior College.  After two years with Paris Junior College, the agency became a private Non-Profit Corporation in Texas with its own office and management under the direction of Mary Jo Gabbert, RN, providing in-home health care services to disabled elderly individuals.  In 1983, the Board of Directors for RRVHHS, Inc., voted to become a Proprietary Corporation in Texas, named Red River Health Care Systems, Inc. with Mary Jo Gabbert as CEO.  John H. Gabbert, son of Mary Jo Gabbert, joined the Corporation in 1983 and became CEO in 1991.  Melissa Risinger, daughter of John H. Gabbert and Nancy J Gabbert, joined Red River in 1990 as Comptroller and added President of Red River Health Care Systems, Inc. in 2013.  In 2021, Gaby Risinger Richardson, granddaughter of John H. Gabbert, daughter of Melissa Risinger, joined Red River as our Billing Clerk.  Family owned and operated and always dedicated to deliver quality services to other families in need.     

During the last 50 years, Red River Health Care has served thousands of Northeast Texas elderly and disabled clients and has employed thousands of personal care attendants/caregivers.  Over the years we have served multiple counties in Texas and Southeastern Oklahoma, currently serving 18 counties in Northeast Texas.  

The tenure of our staff ranges from 1 year to 35 years and with their valuable experiences and education, we are able to provide a strong work environment to provide quality services and expertise to all of our clients and attendants.  We are very fortunate to love what we do and share that love and commitment to those that cross our paths.
